Just One Bite...

My goals for this project was to create a linograph that made you stop and contemplate the meaning behind it and its story. I think I accomplished this because when I look at my art work it almost has a eerie, sinister vibe. I had moments of light where the light shinned on the apple, and a moment of dramatic shadow when the shadow cast by the stem created a cool pattern. The most difficult challenge I faced was the registration of lining up my art without being off. I met the challenge by practicing and learning how to get the perfect registration. My painting really works on the finger tips. I learned that with enough practice I can accomplish my goal, and not to be too judgmental of my artwork and just go with the flow. If I had a do over I would try different colors with my apple rather than just red. I feel best about the amount of time and effort I put into this project to accomplish my goal and I love the apple! I can almost imagine the Evil Queen handing Snow White the apple and whispering, "Just one bite... and all your dreams will come true."
